Alright let me tell you about this dumb video I planned today, the one about who’ll win between Las Palmas and Bilbao players. Needed something quick, you know?
Getting Started Was a Pain
First thing this morning, opened my damn laptop. Scratched my head trying to remember how I usually do these player things. Like, where do I even start? Decided to just dive into the usual stats sites – you know the ones, clunky interfaces and all that jazz. Took ages to pull basic numbers for both teams. My coffee went cold.
Flipped open my notebook – the paper one, old school. Scribbled down the probable lineups for both sides. Bilbao’s was kinda predictable, all big names and experience. Las Palmas… well, harder to figure out. Kept switching tabs, checking injury news on Twitter feeds. So much noise.
Figuring Out the “Who Wins” Part
Right, the whole point was seeing which players come out on top. Made two stupid lists in an Excel sheet:
- Las Palmas Key Dudes: Wrote down Munir, Moleiro, that one tricky winger.
- Bilbao’s Big Guns: Obviously the Williams brothers, Sancet, Herrera sitting back there.
Started comparing them head-to-head, position by position. Like:
- Munir vs Bilbao’s center-back? Speed vs Strength. Can Munir dribble past those guys? Dunno.
- Williams vs Las Palmas fullback? Oh man, that looked bad for the home team. Penciled in a big L for that matchup.
Honestly, my eyes started glazing over looking at defensive stats and heatmaps. Who even understands half that stuff? Sighed, rubbed my eyes. This sucked.
Putting it Together (Barely)
Looked at my messy notes and the Excel sheet. It was… something. Had about 6 players circled as likely “winners” based on the matchups I saw. Mostly Bilbao guys, which made sense given the table. For Las Palmas, maybe that young midfielder could shine at home? Took a wild guess.
Opened my video editing software. Imported some player pics I downloaded earlier, looked kinda blurry. Threw together some basic text overlays:
- WILL DOMINATE over Nico Williams pic.
- COULD SURPRISE on the Las Palmas kid.
Struggled with the voiceover. Did like three takes just for the intro. Kept stumbling over “Las Palmas” and “Athletic Bilbao”. Almost gave up. Finally recorded a version that sounded half-decent while my cat meowed in the background.
Hit render, crossed my fingers, and walked away. Came back later, uploaded the thing, added that clickbaity title like the plan said. Done. Feels like I just ran a marathon, and it’s probably junk anyway. Next time, maybe pick an easier league.
