Rodrigo could be the first star to leave Real Madrid

Brazilian striker Rodrigo Goss didn’t play a single minute in the recent and highly publicized Spanish derby. After the game, many people started to speculate if he will leave Real Madrid soon. According to some media reports, he could be the first player to be sold by Real Madrid when the transfer window opens this summer.

Rodrigo didn’t get a chance to play at all in this important match for the league title. In the post-match interview, manager Carlo Ancelotti said that Rodrigo was not in a good physical condition at the time, so he did not play him. But just in case, he was still listed in the match. This incident also makes everyone see more clearly that the relationship between Ancelotti and Rodrigo is not too good. Currently, Rodrigo’s position in Real Madrid’s attacking lineup is ranked behind Mbappe, Vinicius and Bellingham, and can only be considered as the fourth option.

The news about Rodrigo’s possible departure actually came out earlier. Last week, the media reported that he was considering leaving Real Madrid and that the club was open to offers from other teams. Then there was the news that Rodrigo was hoping to find a clearer role under new coach Javi Alonso.

Rodrigo could be the first star to leave Real Madrid

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid now want to settle Rodrigo’s future as soon as possible, with a decision expected in the next few days. If Rodrigo himself is not happy enough with his current position, the club will likely push for his transfer talks to be accelerated.

Spanish radio station Cadena SER has also confirmed similar claims. They believe that Rodrigo’s departure from Real Madrid is already on the cards. Meanwhile, veterans such as Lucas Vazquez, Modric and Jesus Vallejo could also leave the club this summer. Alonso is said to be planning to adopt a two-striker tactical system, with Vinicius and Mbappe as the main strikers, which would further limit Rodrigo’s opportunities.

From the current point of view, the English Premier League might be the most suitable new destination for Rodrigo. There are plenty of clubs there that suit his style of play. Paris Saint-Germain were also interested, but they already have a lot of good players like Doué, Dembele, Barcola and Kvaratskheliya, and the competition is fierce.

At the moment, the two Premier League giants most likely to sign Rodrigo are Liverpool and Manchester City. Meanwhile, Arsenal are also a potential option, although they are also pursuing another player – Nico Williams.

Overall, Rodrigo is no longer irreplaceable at Real Madrid and is now at a crossroads in his career. In the next few weeks, we may find out where he will ultimately choose to continue playing.
