Okay so today I figured while I’m supposed to be focused on my coding project, my brain kept drifting to that RCD Mallorca vs Leganés match. Like, seriously distracting! Wondering about the r.c.d. mallorca – leganés score was gnawing at me. Needed an update bad.
The Setup
It was mid-afternoon, laptop open, coffee half cold. Meant to be debugging, but yeah, right. All I could think was, “How’s Mallorca doing?” My buddy Carlos is a massive Leganés fan, and I knew he’d be glued to it. Wanted to have the latest before he inevitably messaged me either gloating or crying.
The Search Begins
Firefox is open anyway, right? I kinda minimised the code editor – okay, fine, I closed it completely. Tabbed over to the browser. Typed in exactly that: “r.c.d. mallorca – leganés score” followed by “live update”. Hit enter.
The usual stuff popped up:
- A bunch of sports sites I kinda trust, but they make you hunt sometimes.
- A few news aggregators scraping bits.
- Nothing obvious screaming the latest score right at the top. Frustration level: mild.
Digging Deeper
Clicked on the first couple of results. One took forever to load ads. Seriously, felt like years. Scrolled past banners, past player pictures. Finally, buried halfway down… GOAL! Wait, but for who? Took another paragraph to clarify it was for Leganés. Ugh. Okay, 1-0 to them? But was that current?
Went back to the search results. Tried another site. This one was faster. Boom, right near the top they had a little box: Live: Mallorca 0 – 1 Leganés. Then, like magic, as I stared at it, another goal notification popped in. Mallorca 1 – 1 Leganés! Now we’re talking! They pulled level. Checked the time – looked pretty recent, maybe 10-15 minutes ago.
Looking for the Good Bits
Satisfied with the score update (1-1 it was!), but still wanted more. How’d they score? Who got it? Back to scrolling.
Found a section labelled “Key Moments” or something similar. Bullet points! Perfect.
- Leganés Goal: Some dude Murillo in like the 50th minute. Long shot or something? Not super clear.
- Mallorca Equaliser: That guy Dani Rodríguez! Around 70-something minutes. Tap-in? Header? Description was vague. Need highlights!
- Mentions of a red card?! Scanned frantically… yep, Leganés player got sent off late on. Oof.
Tried finding video clips right then, but links either led to video platforms asking for signups or just wouldn’t load properly. Bookmarks for later, I guess.
Mission Mostly Accomplished
So, the final takeaway? RCD Mallorca pulled out a 1-1 draw with Leganés, coming back a man down near the end. Not a win, but snatching a point away after being behind? Pretty decent. Got the score, got the scorers (Murillo for them, Dani for us), and the spicy red card drama.
Did it completely derail my coding session? Yeah, maybe for 30 minutes. Found what I needed though. Now I can text Carlos something halfway intelligent instead of just “???”.
