Flick: Yarmalenko must keep working hard to catch up with Messi and Ronaldo

Lamine Yarmalenko is one of Barcelona‘s most talked-about young players. At just 17 years of age, he has already shown exceptional talent in several games. In the recent Champions League semifinal against Inter Milan, he scored a goal to help his team draw 3-3 and earned widespread praise for his performance.

Barcelona’s new head coach Hans Flick said in an interview that Yamal has the potential to become a world-class player like Messi and Ronaldo, but he must continue to work hard and not be satisfied with his current achievements.

“Yamal’s performance was impressive,” Flick said, “but I want to remind him that one good game is not enough. If you want to reach a higher level, you have to maintain your excellent form in every game”.

Flick also said that every player has room for improvement, and Yamal is no exception. “He is very talented, but that is not enough. If your goal is to become a historic player, you have to train every day, keep learning and keep improving,” he said.

Yamal has 15 goals and 24 assists this season, which is very rare for a 17-year-old player.

However, the coaching staff have decided to rest him for this weekend’s match against Valladolid in order to better prepare for the more important matches to come.

Coach wants team to stay focused.

Although Valladolid are already relegated, Flick insisted that the team will not take the game lightly. “We respect every opponent,” he said. “Even though they are no longer under pressure to avoid relegation, they are still professional players and anything can happen in a game, so we have to give it our all and not give our opponents a chance.”

Barcelona are currently four points clear of second place in La Liga with five games remaining, and the title race remains tight. On May 11, Barcelona will host Real Madrid in El Clasico, a match that could decide the league championship.

In addition to the league, Barcelona are also competing in the Champions League, where they tied Inter Milan 3-3 in the first leg of the semifinals and will play the second leg next week. In order to cope with the hectic schedule, the coaching staff will make adjustments to the lineup.

Goalkeeper Ter Stegen will return to the starting line-up for the game. The Germany international has been sidelined with a knee injury for some time, but has now recovered and is ready to play.

“Ter Stegen is in good shape and ready to return to the pitch,” said Flick. “This is a good opportunity to give the other goalkeepers a rest. We will decide who plays based on the importance of the match.”

Injuries continue to plague the team.

Despite the team’s overall good form, several key players are still out with injuries, with defender Balde, striker Lewandowski and midfielder Casado all set to miss the match against Valladolid. However, the good news is that they are all recovering well and hope to be fit for the crucial clash against Inter Milan.

“Their goal is to come back as soon as possible and we need everyone at the moment,” said Flick. “Every game is important, especially in the title race.”

Will Barcelona go for the treble?

Barcelona have won the Copa del Rey and still have a chance of winning La Liga and the Champions League. If they can win all three competitions, it will be the club’s first treble since the 2014-15 season.

However, Flick admitted that achieving this goal will not be easy. “Our goal is clear: to win as many games as possible.
But the reality is that we have to take it one game at a time and focus on the next game first.”

He also stressed: “The La Liga title is the most important honour for us, not only because it represents the strength of the team, but also because it reflects the stability of the whole season. We have to stay focused at all times.

Conclusion: Young players need time to develop.

Lamine Yamal’s rapid development has excited many fans, but Flick cautioned against rushing things. “He is only 17 years old and has already reached a very high level, which is very rare. But we also have to understand that he still has a lot of room for improvement.

“As long as he continues with his current attitude and is willing to put in the effort, he has the potential to become a world-class player. But the road ahead is not an easy one and only those who persevere will succeed.

This season could be a turning point for Barcelona. With a new coaching staff and the emergence of young players, the team is moving in a new direction. Fans are looking forward to their performances in the coming weeks and hope to see Yamal continue to grow and finally fulfill his dreams.
