First Time Using BCN Newsletter? Beginner's Guide Quick Setup Tips

First Time Using BCN Newsletter? Beginner’s Guide Quick Setup Tips

Posted on 29/07/202512/08/2025 By alineaciones

Alright folks, grabbed my laptop this morning, coffee in hand, ready to tackle this BCN Newsletter signup everyone’s buzzing about. First time dipping my toes in, felt like a total rookie again. Headed to their main website, figuring that’d be the obvious place to start.

Scrolled around for ages, clicking anything that looked remotely like “newsletter” or “sign up”. Seriously, it was kinda buried. Ended up finding this tiny link tucked away at the bottom of the homepage – felt like a mini victory already. Clicked it, landed on what seemed like a login page. Brain froze for a second. Newbie moment number one: Do I need an account before I sign up for the newsletter? Or does signing up for the newsletter create it? Total confusion.

Took a gamble and saw a “Create Account” option. Clicked that, thinking this must be the path. Got asked for my email address and to make a password. Easy enough, right? Did that. Hit submit. Boom. Email confirmation needed. Switched tabs, found their email sitting there, clicked the confirmation link like it was a big red button. Done. Account created! Okay, step one achieved.

Logged in with my shiny new credentials. Landed on… well, my account dashboard, I guess. But where’s the newsletter? Didn’t see it. Felt lost. Newbie moment number two: Assuming signing up automatically subscribes you. Nope. Back to hunting. Found a “Profile” or “Preferences” section. Something like that. Scrolled down, scanned the options.

Bingo! Saw a checkbox related to “BCN Newsletter”. Maybe even a few different ticky boxes for different updates. Hovered my mouse, unsure. Just wanted the main one. Pro Tip I wish I knew: Look for something straightforward like “Subscribe to BCN Newsletter”. Found it. Clicked the box hard. Don’t forget this part! It’s easy to overlook.

Scrolled all the way down the page, searching for a save button. Found it. Clicked “Save Settings” or “Update Preferences”. Held my breath for a second. No error message? Good. Okay, cool. Settings saved.

Now, the real test. Did it work? Couldn’t just wait days wondering. Hunted around my account area and found a “Communication Preferences” page again. Checked. Yes! The box was still ticked. Newbie reassurance step: Double-checking your settings actually saved gives major peace of mind.

So, that was my messy first-time setup adventure. From finding the hidden signup page, creating an account thinking it was the newsletter part, finally finding the actual newsletter checkbox buried in preferences, clicking it, saving, and double-checking – it felt like more steps than necessary, but I got there. Mostly smooth sailing once you know where those dang preference checkboxes live!
