My Whole Mallorca vs Real Madrid Ticket Chase
So, my buddies and I decided spur-of-the-moment to catch that Mallorca vs Real Madrid clash in Palma. Big mistake thinking tickets would be easy. First thing I did? Hopped online, obviously.
Went straight to what I thought was the main spot online where they sell tickets officially. Couldn’t find squat about Mallorca games there. Just a blank space where the “Buy Tickets” button should be. Figured maybe it was too early or something.
Checked back a few days later, same story. Started sweating a little. Game wasn’t months away, you know? Needed to lock something down. Decided to branch out. Typed “Mallorca vs Real Madrid tickets” right into my search bar. BAM. A ton of those ticket reseller places popped up.
Clicked on one… nearly spat out my coffee. Basic seats way up high were starting at like €260. For real? That’s over $280! Thought my eyes were busted. Checked another site. Same deal. Some were even pushing €400+! Felt my wallet getting lighter just looking at the screen.
Got desperate. Kept refreshing that official club page hoping for a miracle. Then one evening, like magic, the page changed! They finally put tickets up for sale direct. Jumped faster than I ever did in gym class.
Prices straight from the club weren’t too crazy. Saw decent seats around €60-€90. That’s more like it! But… hold up. Tried adding two tickets to my cart. Clicked “Buy.” Error message slapped me in the face. “Sold Out.” Couldn’t believe it. Refreshed like a madman for 30 minutes. Nothing.
Back to those reseller sites I hated. Prices were somehow even higher now. Everybody wanted to see that CR7 fella, I guess. Sucked it up. Searched high and low for the cheapest option that wouldn’t put us behind a pillar.
Ended up finding two seats together on some site I’d never heard of before. Didn’t trust it one bit, but felt stuck. Paid €185 each. Yeah, you read that right. Paid triple the face value. Hurt my soul paying those scumbag touts.
So yeah. Went from feeling hyped about a fun trip, to getting price-gouged hard. Learned my lesson the expensive way: if it’s Real Madrid playing, you gotta be ready weeks before tickets drop official. And brace yourself to fight resellers tooth and nail. Won’t get fooled again!
