Alright so today I got curious about this Samuel Lino guy everyone keeps mentioning. Football clips keep popping up everywhere, right? Felt like I needed to see what the fuss was about. Figured, why not check out his highlights myself?
Starting Simple
First thing, I just searched his name. Simple. Looked for stuff labeled ‘skills’ or ‘highlights’. Found a bunch, clicked one called ‘Samuel Lino Best Skills Watch His Top Plays Highlights’ – sounded spot on.
Started watching. Honestly, at the very beginning? It felt kinda fast. The clips cut quickly. I had to pause, rewind a lot. Needed to see how he did things, not just the flashy finish.
Breaking It Down
- The Foot Stuff: Okay, this dude loves using the outside of his foot. Not just little touches, proper whips and curls. He hits the ball hard with that part, makes it swerve like crazy. Seems super natural for him.
- Tight Spots: Couple clips showed him absolutely boxed in, two, sometimes three defenders around him. Thought “no way he gets out”. He’d just… do this little shimmy, sometimes just drag it back real quick with his sole, and suddenly find a tiny gap to poke it through to a teammate. No big fancy spin, just efficient.
- That First Touch: Man, this stood out. High ball comes flying at him near the touchline. Instead of killing it dead, he’d sometimes flick it forward with his first touch, just past the defender charging at him. Just takes them right out of the play instantly.
- Cutting Inside: This happened a lot, especially if he was on the left. He’d get the defender moving towards the outside touchline, like he’s gonna run down the wing. Then bam, quick chop back inside onto his right foot. Left defenders standing there like statues.
- Little Dribbles: Not always Messi-level runs, but short, sharp bursts. Uses both feet to knock it past someone then accelerate. Looks really confident taking people on one-on-one.
Trying It Out (Sort Of…)
Watched it a few times. Felt inspired? Or maybe just delusional. Went out back with a ball. Tried that outside-of-the-foot thing he does. Yeah… didn’t quite swerve like that. Mine mostly went straight into the fence. Tried a quick cut inside like he does. Nearly tripped over my own feet. Felt like an idiot.
That’s when it hit me. The clips make it look effortless, like anyone could do it. Nope. Seeing how fast he actually does those moves, the control he has when the ball is moving that quickly… it’s nuts. It’s not just messing around with a ball standing still. He’s doing it at full speed against defenders trying to kick him.
What Stuck
So yeah, spent way longer on this than planned. Got sucked in. His main thing? It’s that mix of quick feet and super sharp decision-making. He doesn’t always do the most complicated trick. He picks the thing that works right then, and does it crazy fast and clean. Especially that touch pushing it past a player straight away, and those outside foot curlers. Looks simple in the clip, feels impossible when you try it.
Doesn’t mean I’ll stop trying that outside foot thing though. Maybe just need a softer fence…
